I {heart} Charlotte - Double Layout #2

I was looking through my blog posts the other day and I realized I was missing one of my Charlotte double page layouts.  I had totally forgot to blog/post it.
So lucky you....you get to see my layout finally

Gold treasured puffies...xxx

I just love me some glitter!!!!!!!

Raising the header with foam tape or pop dots really makes the focus draw your eye in on the title.

This layout is ideal for putting three 4x6 photos

and one 4x6 on this side of the layout...I even included a place to journal...

Blog Hop Misfit Card!

Which do you like?  with or without the orange shimmer trim?  I couldn't decide so I asked a number of my Facebook friends... I think the vote was against the orange.... but I still couldn't decide.

I loved this sheet of paper in the Charlotte paper pack...
I wish they had more of it... this was my last slither :(

I am still not in love with this card... so I never posted it in the blog hop.... it will probably hit the never to show anyone again pile ;)

It's missing something... and I can't seem to put my finger on it.

My embellishment MESS!!!!!!!

January Blog Hop

Welcome to the •MAKE•IT•Crafty• Seasonal Blog Hop!

This month we will be featuring Valentines, National Papercrafting Month or the Stamp of the Month creations.  If you’ve arrived from Diane's blog you are on the right path! The blog hop is a great big circle, so you can start here and work your way around. If you get lost, you’ll find the complete list of participating consultants here.

This month we have a number of Close To My Heart Consultants sharing their creations using various CTMH products to help you get in a mood for Valentines, NPM or SOTM.....
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

So... I decided to use the Stamp of the Month stamp set... Beloved Bouquet
This card was really hard for me... I worked on it for nights!!!  I even started to post sneak peaks to get help from my fb friends on design choices.   I am not sure why I couldn't whip anything together... mojo block!!

Anyway... here is my simple card.  I started with cutting a 2.75"x2.75" square white daisy cardstock & randomly stamping 2 flower images (kinda like making my own wallpaper) but making sure to leave a small white space to stamp my sentiment.

Then... as you can see from this photo I started using the blender pen and the ink from the ink pad lid to colour in different shades of the flowers.   This way you can colour as light or as dark as you like but it looks like you painted it with watercolour.

I coloured in both the sorbet ink & the whisper ink...

While playing with this stamp set I tried stamping the grey/whisper flowers silver... but didn't like the end result so I decided to just stamp the sentiment in versa mark & heat emboss silver.

As you can see in the 2 photo's below...

I heat embossed with the silver embossing powder to get the raised ink effect.

Final card... simple but so me!

Thank you so much for following along on our Blog Hop today! I hope you enjoyed all the lovely artwork... Now it’s time to head on over to The Scrap Zone Blog and see Julie's artwork

I {heart} Charlotte - 1 Page Layout #2

I warned you that you might get sick of me & this paper packet....  here is my second 1 page layout.    I created this one first & managed to use my favourite chipboard pieces in one page.

I love this close up of this chipboard... plus I love the paper underneath it... but sadly CTMH only used the pattern on the small journal page.. I'm sure it would of made a full wonderful sheet of 12x12.

This colour combo is just amazing... coral orange & grey & black just work well together...the coral/sorbet is defiantly a 'in' colour of Summer 2015 for me.

I also have a love for anything with polka dots... it's sooooooo me.

Supplies used are all CTMH:
Paper:  Charlotte Paper X7205B, White Daisy, Slate Cardstock
Embellishments: Charlotte Complements X7205C, Black & Gold Ribbon Z3197
Other:  3D foam tape, glue dots

I {heart} Charlotte - Single layout #1

Doing single page layouts are usually not my 'thing'... I generally have a million photos and just picking one photo is really hard for me.   So how did this layout come around?  Well...lately I have started to pick a layout/sketch from Pinterest & just worked with it.   It's surprising how far I get with this plan.  In the past I have always created from the photos out... but I'm finding this way a lot faster and easier when I want to create something...just cuz.  So...I started with a sheet of black cardstock & then trimmed the flower patterned paper from the Charlotte pack.  After that the rest is down to the sketch....

If you need some sketch inspiration.... just follow me on Pinterest now :)

Using pop dots or foam tape you can pop the stickers off the page, it really gives the layout a better dimension & makes them look like buttons... infact if you wanted you could use some CTMH Liquid glass on each sticker & then they will look like enamel gems.

The Charlotte Complements really sell this paper pack..... it's a "must" if you buy it.

I don't think I have made as many layouts with any CTMH paper packet as I have with Charlotte.....  the black, sorbet & slate grey colours are just magic together.  I think I will challenge myself to make a card or two with the scraps leftover... seems I still have a few.

Showing off the gold foil..

Supplies used are all CTMH:
Paper:  Charlotte Paper X7205B, Slate, Black Cardstock
Embellishments: Charlotte Complements X7205C, Gold Treasured Puffies Z3203

Last Christmas layout with White Pines paper

I created this layout using another sketch the night before my class back in November.
I wanted to show people that sometimes you really just need to get a sketch you like and pick a paper line you love and start cutting.   It really is that simple with CTMH's paper line & matching stickers.

Can you tell I'm in Canada... with my Tim's cup... it has Tim's Steeped Tea in so that's my inner Brit coming out in me :)

My favourite embellishment .... Shimmer trim

Red Enamel gems... to add some dimension :)

Supplies used are all CTMH:
Paper:  White Pines Paper, Colonial White, Chocolate, Champagne, Cranberry Cardstock, White Pines Complements X7200B
Embellishment: red shimmer trim Z1848, Red Enamel Gems Z3090
Other:  3D foam tape, glue dots
